Music, art, and the magic of the Mojave

Are you a fan of the songs of Berkley Hart?  Would you like to learn about how they write them?  Then come on out to the Berkley Hart Songwriting Camp! We’ll be singing, playing, and talking about things like:

The Songwriting Sameness Rut
Ever feel like a lot of your songs sound the same?  We’ll discuss some easy ways to give them a fresh sound and spin.

Nudging Your Muse
Writer’s block got you down?  Feel like you have nothing else to say?  We’ll go through some exercises that can unleash song ideas you never knew you had.

The AA, BB, CCs of Song Format
Do song forms really matter?  If so, why?  And what are they?

The Three Deadly “T”s – Treacle, Trite, Too Personal
Ever heard a cringe-inducing song at open mic night?  Let’s go over how to make sure that will never be you.

Rhyming Shmyming
Tired of trying to find another rhyme for love?  Does it even matter?  Was the coolest rhyme ever when Lyle Lovett rhymed “flyswatter” with “ice water”?  Well talk about the good, the bad and the ugly of rhyming.
